Trade expo on cosmetics and beauty items

The Star, Metro - 2 July 2005

What is billed as Asia's most comprehensive trade exhibition for cosmetics and beauty technology will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre this month.

Cosmobeaute Asia 2005 expects to draw 10,000 trade visitors, said organiser ECMI Services Sdn Bhd project director CP Saw.

“This is not the usual beauty show for consumers and retailers. This exhibition is targeted at trade buyers, professionals and investors exclusively,” he said.

The exhibition will also see participation of some well-known international beauty and wellness brands from 20 countries, including Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, Singapore, Thailand and the US.

“We have three overseas pavilions as part of the exhibition,” said Saw, adding that there would be a lot of activities during the exhibition from July 8 to 11.

They would include introduction of new concepts in beauty, training demonstrations and product launches.

Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad is slated to open the exhibition on July 8 and the event will also see a visit from 18 Miss Malaysia/World 2005 finalists on July 11.

Some of the local exhibitors at the exhibition include Endulgence-Sanctuary of the Senses Sdn Bhd, Aesthetics Marketing Asia Sdn Bhd, Kendek Steam and Sauna Sdn Bhd, BioCell Corporation Sdn Bhd and Terra Garden Sdn Bhd.
