IGEM 2012, 10 – 13 October 2012

Championing Green Growth …

Globally, markets are witnessing an accelerated uptake of green technology and eco products. The enthusiasm of the populace is further complemented by the government’s policies and regulations, such as the Feed in Tariff scheme (FiT) which is managed by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA). Businesses must manifest the intelligent alignment to harness the many green opportunities arising from the various policies and public demand. To this end, the IGEM series will be making every effort to advance, commercialize and grow green technology, eco products and services within domestic shores and beyond.

Themed “Greentech for Growth”, the 3rd International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM2012) aims to help push the rapid adoption of green technology to deliver a double impact of sustainable economic growth as well as to address the environmental and energy security issues.

Having achieved its foothold as the largest green exhibition in the region, IGEM2012 will continue its pursuit to gather like-minded industry players and professionals from various sectors, public and private, big and small, local and foreign, new as well as established, to explore and seize the opportunities from the exciting and emerging green market in the country and the region.

To spur on fast track growth of Green Technology for sustainable consumption and production, IGEM2012 brings the dynamism of renewable energy, energy efficiency and green transportation for adoption and start-ups, while providing an essential platform to launch, feature and showcase innovative eco-products, green technologies and services. It is indeed a must-attend event for green product buyers and sellers to interact, transact and forge new partnerships and cross border collaboration.

This four-day event is expected to draw on more than 600 booths with exhibitors from around the world with over 60,000 visitors. Don’t miss out on the green opportunities and register your participation now.

Thai @ Home cook book

The Author, Chef Trakool Yodsuk, or better known as Chef Korn, was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Spending most of his adolescence in the kitchen observing his mother whenever she cooked, he soon picked up an interest in the culinary industry. His mother also instilled in him the importance of Thai tradition and culture, and introduced him to a rustic, traditional and authentic cooking style that uses a lot of natural herbs and spices.

Before pursuing his culinary career, Chef Korn was an artist specializing in acrylic painting. He also traded in art collections. In April 2009, Chef Korn, a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and administration, partnered a business associate and opened Erawan, a restaurant serving authentic and fusion Thai food. Erawan was voted as one of Asia’s Finest Restaurants, and it is also the 3rd from Top 5 best restaurants in Malaysia in the 2011/2012 The Miele Guide. Chef Korn also teaches Thai cooking. His teaching style is simple and genuine as he stays true to tradition and uses a lot of authentic ingredients.

Thai @ Home, the 1st of his cook book series is a collaboration between SIAM CONNECTION SDN BHD and Seashore Publishing (M) Sdn Bhd (a member of Popular Holdings Limited). The cook book was launched at the Popular Bookfest 2012 on 20th August 2012, and during the launch Chef Korn was present to cook 2 recipes from the cook book.
