Kuala Lumpur, 29 May 2015 – The Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur is proud to present a 2 minute Thai cooking program “Flavors of Thai”, that is to be aired at KLIA TV, with over 350 TVs and LED screens at both KLIA and KLIA2, beginning this July 2015. This 2 minute Thai cooking program was jointly created with Siam Connection Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian based company that focuses on promoting everything Thai to Malaysians.
Flavors of Thai is set to create awareness of Thai ingredients used to cook these dishes, as Thai food is well known for its unique tastes because of the herbs and spices used. Flavors of Thai will introduce to the audience 6 easy to cook Thai dishes, presented by Chef Phonganan Siriseangphaiwan, who was flown in from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur.
This chef will show audiences simple method to cook such dishes like Hor Mok Pla (Fish Souffle), Sa Kho Sai Kai (Steamed Sago with minced Chicken filling),Khao Pad Tom Yum Kung (Tom Yum Prawn Fried rice), Khao Soi Kai (Chicken Curry Noodles Northern Style), Kanon Tuay (Coconut and Palm Sugar Pudding) and Tub Tim Krob (Mock Pomegranate Seeds in Coconut Syrup). These dishes are favourites among the general public.
Thai food takes extra precedence, as it is somehow connected to the Thai culture and it is often reflected or asked upon in any Thai conversation.
